Merry Christmas everybody… we are out on a very foggy walk & in the cloud now. Hope your all are having a smashing festive break. R & M X
Today mostly on my mind is this wee building I visited a few weeks ago, St Peter’s Church in Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge. It’s occasionly used for services but mainly as an extra exhibition area for Kettle’s Yard Gallery, it’s a magical space.. no idea why as I’m not religious in any way but it has a vibe. If you’re ever near by, go take a look.
Today I was mostly pouring more Mulled Wine and shots in Harrow. Great to have Mel helping today… a touch of festive spirit in the air me thinks.. maybe it was the brandy, lights & seasonal tunes Mel bought along. 🤔🍷 A woman’s touch.
Today I was mostly pouring mulled wine in Richmond. It almost felt festive… 🤔🍷
Took a trip this afternoon with Mel to the River & Rowing Museum in Henley. Smashing walk along the towpath. Love the look of this church in Fingest which is where they filmed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang I believe.
What a smashing gig last night at the Union Chapel in Islington with the acoustic trio. The audience response was fantastic… some familiar and friendly faces out there, such a fabulous venue & intimate is the word. A nice way to end a run of summer gigs as sadly the last of the Let’s Rock festival gigs today in Cookham had to be cancelled due to the rubbish weather. It’s been a real pleasure doing these festivals both musically & socially after such a long break. It’s good to see people doing their thing again in such great ways. Roll on festivals 2022 & take care everybody. Picture curtesy of @joebull_guitar my trusty tech. @nick_beggs @robinboultgtr
Smashing gig in Powderham castle near Exmouth this weekend with Howard Jones. Love this pic that the most excellent Dan Burton took of me, Howard & Nick Beggs. #letsrock #howardjones
