What a smashing gig last night at the Union Chapel in Islington with the acoustic trio. The audience response was fantastic… some familiar and friendly faces out there, such a fabulous venue & intimate is the word. A nice way to end a run of summer gigs as sadly the last of the Let’s Rock festival gigs today in Cookham had to be cancelled due to the rubbish weather. It’s been a real pleasure doing these festivals both musically & socially after such a long break. It’s good to see people doing their thing again in such great ways. Last week I was in Real World studios rehearsing which is always a pleasure. I took a drive up the road past the studio through a tiny hamlet & spotted this magnificent lending library in the telephone box.
So last Wednesday Mel and I got married !!! We had a smashing day with old friends and family followed by a long afternoon of delights in the seven Stars at Dinton. Very special thanks to @rachel_ashmore who without her help, none of this may have happened.
